DistributorBooks is an all-in-one business platform built specifically for independent bread and snack delivery route distributors. It automatically pulls your Flowers Foods data and turns it into clear, actionable numbers — net sales, stale %, shrink, expenses, real profit, and more. Think of it as QuickBooks meets route management, built by people who actually run routes.

Who is DistributorBooks for?

DistributorBooks is for independent distributors who own and operate delivery routes for Flowers Foods brands — Sara Lee, Nature's Own, Wonder Bread, Dave's Killer Bread, and others. Whether you run a single route yourself or manage a fleet of 10+ routes with employees, DistributorBooks scales to fit your business.

How long does it take to get set up?

About 5 minutes. Create your account, set up your routes, and you're ready to go. There's nothing to install on your computer or phone — DistributorBooks runs entirely in your web browser. Our setup wizard walks you through every step.

Do I need to be tech-savvy to use it?

Not at all. If you can use a smartphone, you can use DistributorBooks. We designed every screen with one rule: would a tired truck driver at 4am after a 12-hour day be able to use this without thinking? Big buttons, clear numbers, obvious navigation. No training required.

Do I have to upload my stat reports manually?

No. DistributorBooks automatically syncs your Flowers Foods distributor stat reports. No uploading, no spreadsheets, no extra work on your end. Your data shows up in your dashboard ready to go.

What is the Route Book?

The Route Book is your main dashboard — the heart of DistributorBooks. It shows 52 weeks of KPI data with year-over-year comparisons for each route. Net sales, stale %, shrink, COGS, expenses, and your true bottom dollar are all in one view. It's the page that tells you whether your route is making money.

What metrics does DistributorBooks track?

What is the Route Health Score?

The Route Health Score is a single number from 0 to 100 that tells you how healthy your route is overall. It's a weighted average of your key performance metrics — sales trends, stale percentage, shrink, expenses, and more. Instead of looking at a dozen different numbers, the Health Score gives you one answer: is my route doing well, or do I need to pay attention?

What is the Bottom Dollar?

Bottom Dollar is your true profit — what's actually left in your pocket after everything is paid. It's calculated as: net sales minus cost of goods, minus all your expenses, minus labor costs. No other tool gives independent distributors this number automatically, week by week. It's the single most important number in your business.

How does Variance Tracking work?

Variance Tracking automatically compares the numbers DistributorBooks calculates against your official Flowers Foods distributor statement. If there's a mismatch — say your stale numbers don't line up or a credit is missing — DistributorBooks flags it. No more Monday morning surprises when something doesn't add up.

Your Business

Can I manage multiple routes?

Yes. DistributorBooks is built for both owner-operators running a single route and fleet owners managing 10 or more. You can view each route individually or see your entire fleet at a glance — aggregate P&L, per-route comparisons, and labor costs across all your routes.

Can my drivers see my financial data?

Only what you want them to see. DistributorBooks has role-based access built in. Employees can see operational data like sales, stale %, and conflicts — but sensitive information like your discount, bottom dollar, labor costs, and fleet-level financials are hidden from them. You control who sees what.

Can I track my expenses?

Yes. You can log expenses per route — fuel, truck repairs, supplies, insurance, whatever you spend. These feed directly into your Bottom Dollar calculation so you always know your true profit. Add them on desktop or on your phone between stops.

Does it work with all Flowers Foods brands?

Yes. DistributorBooks works with all Flowers Foods distributor stat reports regardless of brand — Sara Lee, Nature's Own, Wonder Bread, Dave's Killer Bread, Tastykake, and all other Flowers Foods products. If Flowers Foods generates a stat report for your route, DistributorBooks can process it.

Can I manage my staff and payroll?

Yes. DistributorBooks includes staff management and payroll tracking. Add your drivers and employees, assign them to routes, and track labor costs. This feeds into your per-route profitability so you know exactly what each route earns after paying your people.

What devices can I use DistributorBooks on?

Any device with a web browser — desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone. DistributorBooks is fully responsive and works on Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. There's nothing to install. Check your numbers from your truck, your kitchen table, or your office.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your data is stored securely and is only accessible to you and the staff members you authorize. Each DistributorBooks account is completely isolated — no one else can see your numbers. We take your business data as seriously as you do.

How do I get help if I need it?
